Edge of Forever - Another paradise

Crashing in with big chords, great vocals this is a strong offering from Italian band Edge of Forever. There is no doubt these guys know what they are doing when it comes to Melodic Rock, and just when you think you have these guys sussed they throw in a cover of Irene Cara’s "Flashdance (what a feeling). Brilliant!

There seems to be so much good stuff coming out of Finland at the moment, and The Jade appear to be another quality act to add to the list. Very competent playing full of energy, well produced and 14 tracks including a great cover of The Petshop’s "It’s a sin" this is good stuff

Emberstorm - Memories of time

Some pretty high octane stuff going on here as this comes crashing in with the opening track Never Ending and just Ouse’s quality from the opening note. These guys are not one-dimensional either as the beautiful Horizons call or Winters night of fate prove. Great musicianship great vocals and a great album.

A stunning album by Texan rockers Seventh Rize. An album with a real feel of quality, served up by musicians who have crafted their trade to perfection. Praying Mantis - Sanctuary

When this album dropped on the doormat I was blown away. Melodic yet rockin', hook laden and played with passion. The London based 5 piece have put in the work and come up with some outstanding material for this their first new album in six years. This really is one hell of an album, great performances all round. Highly recomended.

Syrym - Syrym.

I was pleasantly surprised by this album, it just goes to show never judge a book (or album) by the cover. Looking at this one I thought Metal with honey monster vocals, WRONG! Whith the majority of tracks 5 min plus of well produced guitar driven Rock n Roll to the beautiful "Sky is falling" in one word "FANTASTIC!"

My Disgrace - Rise

WHAM! This one hits you like a 2x4 around the head! Playing out of Nashville these guys these guys deliver something that’s a far cry from the usual fare that comes from that neck of the woods. Rise is a powerful album that rocks hard. That said its not all big riffs and hard edged rock as the 6 min 15sec Still I cry proves as it gently opens and grows into a crescendo before gently drifting away. Superb!
